As you all know that the excise duty levied on small cars such as Fabia has increased from 10% to 12%. The large cars such as Rapid which has engine capacity of less than 1.5 litres has been hiked from 22% to 24%. The Indian union budget defines the large cars by the engine capacity less than 1.5 litres. Also the SUV and cars with engine capacity more than 1.5 litres excise duty increased from 22% to 27%.
