Mahindra & Mahindra is all gearing up for our Auto expo with its Korean acquisition Ssangyong model lineups next month. The Ssangyong is acquired last year is going to show their SUV models Rexton and Korando E which is expected to be rolled out in our Indian market in near future. The Ssangyong motors was brought in to M&M’s reign through Rs. 2,105 crores , last year.
Along with these two SUV’s, the M&M will be starring with its innovation for mobility in future through its electric powered vehicle Reva NXR. Adding to the good news, the concern is likely to reveal the electric version of its renowned model, Verito.
The Korando has an elegantly proportioned style built on monocoque platform which is perfectly in-line with the design theme denoting ‘moment’. It is powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine producing a peak power of about 175 ps, which is mated to a 6-speed transmission unit (both manual & Auto).
The Rexton in the other hand is based on the Mercedes –Benz M-class first generation released in Korea. It is sourced by a three type of engines, a 2.7 litre diesel mill producing 162 bhp and 34.8kgm of torque and 2 petrol engines – a 3.2 litre mill with an output of 217bhp and a 2.9 litre engine, all manufactured under license from Mercedes Benz.
Apart from this, M&M will be on the stage with its lineup including the XUV 500, Bolero, Thar and Genio double-cab pickup.
