Skoda India has silently launched the Yeti 2WD featuring a front wheel drive. The New Yeti comes with an 2.0 litre engine giving away 110 bhp @ 4200 rpm and a maximum toque of 250 Nm with a 5 gear manual transmission.
The 4×2 yeti shares the same chasiss, braking systems and even the dimensions of the yeti 4WD. But it weighs less than the former , its kerb weight is 1445 kg while that of 4×4 is 1543 kg. The Fuel tank capacity has also been reduced to 55 litres.
Moreover our sources stated that Yeti 2WD will be available only in Active variant and may loss some convenient features like rain sensing wipers, steering mounted audio controls etc.
The basic reason behind this move of Skoda India, to make Yeti cheaper and more affordable for the buyers who have been facing budget constraints. A smart move indeed to keep its customers intact with their products. However, there is no official information regarding the price of this new Yeti. As of now, dealers have been asked to take bookings for this 2WD yeti. For more official info Check Skoda India Website. Stay tuned for more updates.
