Suzuki has launched a 110 cc commuter bike in India named Suzuki Hayate. The Suzuki motorcycle India pvt ltd which has 2% market share in Indian market is targeting semi urban areas with its newly launched Suzuki Hayate. The production is on full swing at Gurgaon factory.
The name Hayate means Fresh breeze in japanese. Suzuki Hayate comes with a 4 stroke air cooled 112 cc engine and suzuki specified mileage of 70kms (Honda certified its Dream Yuga 72kmpl with internal testing). Powered with a 8.4PS of power and 8.8Nm torque runs with 4 speed gear transmission.
Priced aggressively to the Indian market. Suzuki Hayate priced at Rs.40,162 INR for kick start variant and Rs.42,162 INR for self start variant (ex-showroom pune). Comes with a 8L fuel tank capacity, weighs 112 kg and 5 colors namely White, Green, Red, Black and Grey.
Suzuki has targeted 10K bikes every month majorly focusing on the maharashtra region which has major market for suzuki motorcycles. Also Salman khan has been roped as the brand ambassador for Suzuki Hayate. (Honda has picked Akshay kumar for whooping 50C for 5 year contract to promote Honda’s Dream Yuga 110cc segement). I don’t think bajaj discover 125 sports tourer has got any bollywood brand ambassador ? Salman khan will endorse every suzuki bikes in India from here.
Overall Suzuki Hayate is a good bike for regular commuting people and value for money.
With its tuned mileage efficiency can it increase sales volume ?
