Already we had told you about Honda Dream Yuga, commuter bike to be unveiled by May 2012. Now it’s the time. Honda has officially launched its commuter bike Honda Dream Yuga (is it right time to reveal Yuga to its competitor Bajaj Discover 125 ST which launched few days back). Honda Dream Yuga was first showcased at Auto Expo 2012 earlier this year. Honda’s commuter motorbike was a good move to take on the leading Hero Motorcorp, TVS and Bajaj commuter bikes.
Honda Dream Yuga is priced around 44,000 INR Ex-showroom delhi and when looking it for the first time it’s some what similar to Honda Shine. But hey, remember Dream Yuga is a very basic commuter bike mainly focusing on mileage rather than the looks and features. It doesn’t mean it has a boring looks and outdated features.
Dream Yuga has No disc brakes, only drum brakes. Powered by a 110 cc 4 stroke single cyclinder air cooled engine which powers 9PS at 7500 RPM and 8.91 Nm at 5500 RPM.
A serious competitor to Hero Honda splender pro, Passion pro, Bajaj Discover 125 ST. But, Honda Dream Yuga is one of the cheapest bike for the potential buyers of Indian market.
It has 4 Speed gear box and no fuel injections like shine, has carburetor system. Weighs just 108 kg and has a Fuel tank capacity 8L. Its said to have a Mileage – 72 km/l (from their internal testing).
The front suspension telescopic front forks and the twin shock absorbers at the rear. Dream Yuga comes with tubeless tyres.
